Hi everyone here is a current updated road report. We have extremely dry conditions making the dirt roads very dusty as well as rough and washboarded! Some roads need 4WD to some popular hiking areas such as Willis Creek on the Skutumpah road! Deep sand has developed on the first steep hill on the north end...requiring 4WD or AWD! Deep sand is becoming a problem on some roads in the Monument.
Where possible always check with you local visitor center for updated road conditions! Always carry extra water and snacks as well as fuel in case problems arise!
Be careful out there!
As always, PLAN AHEAD, BE PREPARED, AND BE SAFE!
